Alaska - Gates of the Arctic

After deciding that we'd seen pretty much all that Fairbanks had to offer we hed off to the hot springs again. After stopping at a cd shop near the marlin first, which I'd hoped to pick up some local music from. We picked up some alaskan music, but not much of any note. Nice shop though, friendly and helpful owner/operator. Hot springs were a nice way to spend some time, between the drive out there and back. Managed to see a moose from the road and nearly just sort of get a pic of it before it disappears.

Back in fairbanks, went and saw star wars at the movies. Passed the time. Lazy dinner, then a couple of drinks at Captain Bartlett's (not impressive) and finally back to the airport for our 1am flight home. This was impressive, because it sort of a bit dark as we were near Seattle, but it was getting daylight again by then, so we didn't really see darkness till that night back in San Jose.

Went straight into work monday morning, all smelly and unshaven, and even managed to fix a bug or two that day! Excellent trip. Stupidly over narrated perhaps, but better than no narrative I guess. Your call :)
