It was great to visit mum in her new home. Kata had never met mum, they'd always just missed each other when mum had been in Iceland, Kata had still been in Russia. We stayed over the weekend, so mum even had to go and buy extra plates and cups :)

Saturday, we headed out west. We visited the Australia Telescope Compact Array first, because who doesn't love giant dishs on train tracks? But the real destination was the Pillaga Bore. Iceland doesn't have a monopoly on geothermal swimming pools! We had a nice swim, and a lovely picnic lunch in Wee Waa before returning home. We had frogs to watch in mum's backyard!
